Kimmy’s Baby Name List

I've always wanted to be a baby name guru. Wouldn't it be just the best job? Researching names and meanings and carefully helping someone come up with the perfect name for their baby would be the greatest thing. Thankfully, I have an amazing and adorable friend who is willing to help me live out my … Continue reading Kimmy’s Baby Name List →

Surnames as First Names

My baby name post today is going to be on surnames as first names! I'm so excited to do this one because I LOVE the idea of using surnames as first names for babies, I think they make such stunning names with a poetic vibe to them. There are so many beautiful names that fall … Continue reading Surnames as First Names →

Baby Names

I've always had a fascination with names of all kinds, but particularly baby names of course. I was (am) definitely one of those girls who had lists of names for my future children written in my notebooks since I was about 11 years old. While I don't yet have kids of my own and won't … Continue reading Baby Names →

Happy sweet 16 to my sweet little sister! Emma is the warmest soul you will ever meet, if you are lucky enough to be her friend she will treasure you and make you feel like the best person in the world. Her creativity and kindness inspires me every day. Love you seester!
Will somebody explain to me why depression feels like sliding into a pair of sweatpants? A calm collision of comfort and despair, greeting me from the shadows. “It’s been a while” it seems to whisper, and I nod. It’s more a numbness than a sadness, the absence of emotion making a cave in my chest as I sink. Waves of darkness are curving around my body like an old but familiar lover... one you’ve come back to again and again even when you knew it wasn’t right. Mostly I just want to feel nothing, in a body that is aching from feeling too much. Photo cred goes to my hubby. Side note: I’m okay I promise. Just trying to do the creative expression thing.
It is a hard thing to write a poem. To take an emotion bigger than an ocean and make it fit inside a tiny bundle of words. Poetry is subtlety. Poetry is grace. Poetry is having a vast vocabulary in your arsenal and knowing when not to use it. Poetry is magic in its most elusive form.
That moment when you realize you have no pictures of yourself that you actually like...#selfiegamenotstrong On the real though, if anyone has any suggestions for a good local photographer please let me know! Also if you’re looking for a good rainy day read I would LOVE it if you clicked the link in my bio! Happy Sunday 💕
This cool brother of mine left the MTC for Canada today. I miss him a lot but I’m so proud of him and the hearts he will change ❤️🇨🇦
