Using My Voice

This isn't the post I had planned for today. My heart has been extremely heavy as I fell down a rabbit hole of pain and problems this morning, finally culminating in tears at the feeling of helplessness that overwhelmed me. As a white girl in Utah, I have this crushing sense of powerlessness to do … Continue reading Using My Voice →

A Writing Update

I started this blog for many reasons, but the main one was to improve and share my writing. Over the past year, it's evolved into my own personal creative space, where I share everything from poems to my favorite names. I welcome anyone who wants to read my creative musings and/or comment upon them with … Continue reading A Writing Update →

Italian Baby Names

Ciao a tutti! Today we are going to be talking about the gorgeous, sultry, musical names of the Italian language. Due to my ancestry, I have an unreasonable affection for all things Italian. I love the food, the culture, the language, (as a side note, I do not speak Italian, but I've taken enough rudimentary … Continue reading Italian Baby Names →

Brave She Must Be- A Tribute to All the Mothers

A young girl sits frightened, a test in her hand, little does she know how her heart will expand, in just nine short months. April Reads

Another month has come and gone, and I feel as though I'm watching time pass like you watch the scenery flash past when riding a train. It's going so by so swiftly and I'm taking so little part in it all, but I almost don't care. I feel content to just sit and enjoy the … Continue reading April Reads →

In past years, the magic of the new year for me was always embedded in hope, in looking towards the future and all of its possibilities with delight instead of dread. It was an opportunity to renew my excitement for life, to recommit myself to what I found most important, and to allow myself to dream about the possibility of becoming someone better.

Idk, I feel like no one has seen my face in a while..๐ŸŒน
2020 so far has been a year of horrible growing pains, with so much ugliness coming out that was hiding in the woodworks. But Iโ€™m reminding myself to be willing to find hope in the โ€˜growingโ€™ part. To look forward to the future with an optimism that these hard and painful years are the precursor to a much better future, a world where weโ€™ve evolved into more kindness, more humanity, more love and more equality.
Across every land and corner of earth, women of all ages and cultures give birth, to a new generation, teaching goodness and love, despite daily hardships below and above, for we are all mothers and brave must we be, it flows through our veins like the tide through the sea.
