Happy almost spring everyone! I’m currently sitting on my bed riding a spontaneous burst of motivation to do this post. The weather has been really sunshiny and lovely here this week and I’m soaking it all up contentedly. February was a really fun month and I’m excited to share some of the highlights with you.
At the beginning of the month I chopped my hair off. It was down almost to my waist and I cut off seven-ish inches. At first I kind of regretted it and missed my long hair, but now I absolutely love it! It’s so much easier to style and I feel like when I have styled it I look a lot more put together whereas with my long hair I was always just throwing it in braids and not really doing it which was convenient but not necessarily always my best look.

In the first half of February I helped out with my baby brother’s surprise 13th birthday party and I made this charcuterie board type situation which I am just really proud of so I’m throwing in a pic here.

I worked on my book photography skills this month. I actually started a new Bookstagram account in February which is connected to my YouTube channel as well! Give it a follow if you like that sort of thing 🙂

Speaking of my husband, we did a little weekend getaway to Zion’s at the end of the month to celebrate his birthday! It was the biggest breath of fresh air to have some solo time together in the beautiful mountains and spend time in nature. The weather was amazing, our hotel was lovely and perfectly located, and it was honestly the perfect mini vacation!

So remember how I said I wanted to start taking more pictures? I think it’s pretty clear from this post that I met that goal at least. I had a lot of good memories this month that I wanted to document here and I’m so happy I took these pictures! Overall, February was a really good month! I read a lot of books, filmed a lot of videos and spent quality time with the people I love.
In March I’m hoping to do a lot more of the same and I also want to start writing poetry again! It’s been a minute since I’ve written an actual poem and I was just reading over some of my old ones and feeling the itch to create pretty things with words again. I’ve been in a little bit of a writing slump over the past few months just with things going on in my life, but I’m hoping that some poetry can start to get me out of that slump and back into my creative power. Thanks so much for reading! I’ll probably see you next month ❤
